2022 is the first time ever we have celebrated Prize Giving twice in one year!
In February we put the clocks back to celebrate all achievements for the 2021 school year. Then we reset our clocks to focus on all the hard work done in the 2022.
What joy to reunite with our whānau and supporters in celebrating this time at Eden Park, an iconic location!
Matua Ōtene Reweti set the tone for our event by giving his blessings and sharing uplifting karakia. Our rangatahi performed powerful haka to honour their leaving tuākana (old leaders)......

It's partnerships like InZone has with UBS that add great value to our kaupapa for our rangatahi. Not only have UBS supported InZone financially but InZone senior rangatahi were recently treated to a corporate experience at UBS' waterfront offices in the CBD on the 27th floor. UBS consulted with InZone’s team to put together an event that would best benefit our senior rangatahi. The event was a huge success and everyone left buzzing with our rangatahi giving it the ultimate approval, suggesting we make it an annual event.

Red light setting meant we had to restrict attendance to rangatahi and kaimahi only but we were pleased to have whānau and friends of InZone attend virtually as we held our first-ever live-streamed event. Held onsite, we were treated to yet another delicious kai from the kitchen......

The last year has seen InZone take great strides in our journey as we strive towards sustainable living. With the support of the ANZ Staff Foundation, InZone was able to purchase everything on our gardening wish list including lawnmowers, garden sheds and tools, soil, planters and seeds. This was all put to great use establishing māra kai at our girls kāinga led by our green-thumbed Senior Boarding Manager Whaea Karllie. We look forward to establishing another māra kai at our boys' kāinga as our construction works draw to a close next month.
