InZone Farewells Monique Forbes

The Board and Management of InZone farewelled long-serving Board member Monique Forbes at their final Board meeting for 2025.

Monique has been on the Board for over five years and was Chair of the Girls Advisory Subcommittee for two years. She also stepped down temporarily from the Board in October 2023 for five months to fill the interim CEO role while the Board transitioned to a permanent appointment.

Monique shared with the Board how she was blown away by watching the InZone documentary and was so inspired that she reached out to be part of the kaupapa. 

Board Chair Hēmi Rolleston thanked Monique for her service, acknowledging her deep commitment, strong work ethic and strong director discipline, which she is continuing to develop through her Institute of Directors training and future director roles. He noted that trustees and directors should always want to leave the organisations they serve in a better place, and that Monique could be proud of her contribution.

Monique commented: “It’s been my honour to serve our people and our community. Ka mihi tonu ahau. Mauruuru koe.”
