InZone Farewells Monique Forbes

The Board and Management of Inzone farewelled long serving board member Monique Forbes at their final board meeting for 2025. 

Monique has been on the board for over 5 years and was the Chair of the Girls Advisory Subcommittee for 2 years and stood down temporarily from the board in October 2023 for 5 months to fill the interim CEO role as the board transitioned to a permanent appointment. Monique shared with the board how she was blown away by watching the InZone documentary so much so she reached out to be a part of the kaupapa. Board Chair Hēmi Rolleston in thanking Monique for her service acknowledged Monique’s deep commitment, her strong work ethic and her strong director discipline that she is crafting, through her Institute of Directors training and future director role. That trustees/directors always want to leave the organisation they served in a better place and she could be proud of this. Monique commented “It’s been my honour to serve our people and our community. Ka mihi tonu ahau. Mauruuru koe.”
