Fees

InZone is committed to supporting Māori and Pasifika rangatahi to achieve their full potential in terms of educational, leadership, personal, academic, cultural, community and transitional opportunities. To ensure this life changing opportunity is available for all Māori and Pasifika rangatahi, we aim to keep our whānau Boarding Fee as affordable as possible.  To be able to do this, it is necessary for us to fundraise a significant portion of the actual cost which we could only do with the help of generous donations from individuals, charitable entities and our annual fundraiser.

2026 Annual Whanau Boarding Fees

  • Full boarding fee: $12,600 per year (payable in three instalments of $4,200)

  • Ministry of Education (multiple barrier): $5,460 per year (payable in three instalments of $1,820)

Financial support

Ministry of Education boarding allowance
Whānau may be eligible for a boarding allowance from the Ministry of Education. Parents or legal guardians apply directly to the Ministry, and the allowance is paid through the school to cover boarding costs.

Apply by 31 October each year to receive full funding for the following year. Applications made after 31 October are considered from Term 2, with no back payment for Term 1.

Scholarships and other support
The Māori Education Trust offers scholarships and grants for Māori students. We also encourage whānau to contact their iwi directly about any education support they offer.

If you’d like your rangatahi to attend InZone but are worried about the cost, please get in touch. We’re happy to talk through options with you.

School related costs

There are also costs for attending school, such as school fees, uniforms, camps and stationery. These are paid directly to the school, and details are on each school’s website.
