InZone is thrilled to announce our kōhine Waikamania Seve has been appointed as Epsom Girls Grammar School’s Deputy Head Girl for 2022! This comes as no surprise given Waikamania’s achievements during her time at InZone and EGGS. Waikamania has been the 2021 Student Rep for the school’s Board of Trustees, a participant in Ngā Manu Kōrero and Ngā Pu Kōrero competitions, an active member of school committees including Kotahitanga and the Arts and Cultural Committee. Sporty, Waikamania has competed in Waka Ama every year while at InZone and EGGS. She has also been heavily involved in Kapa Haka and performed with the school at Polyfest. Tino pai rawa atu!

Of this opportunity, Waikamania says “It feels very surreal. I am so humbled and grateful to represent my whānau and hapū. Being given this opportunity, my main priority is to continue being a voice for tauira at our kura. I am looking forward to meeting new people and seeking new opportunities. I am very thankful to my māmā and pāpā who have supported my journey in Tāmaki. I am proud to represent Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Wai and Ngāti Hāmoa”.

Waikamania is the second kōhine to be selected for this role from InZone after Jasmin Wiki held the position in 2019.
