What is your role here:
Development Manager.

Describe your job in a couple of sentences:
I work across a few areas – primarily recruitment, fund raising, alumni and one-off projects.

Where are you from:
Born, raised and schooled in Wellington.

What have you done previously:  
A lot of different roles but whilst full-time parenting for 20 years I have always kept my feet firmly in the world of philanthropy and giving back where I can.

What do you enjoy most about working for InZone:
Making a difference in the lives of others.  Working for and with an organisation and people that have the same values as myself.

I began working for InZone in July 2018

What is your role here:
Leadership Team Assistant.

Describe your job in a couple of sentences:
I assist the Leadership in all aspects of their roles including co-ordinating enrolments and event management.

I have 3 beautiful children Jordyn-Lee (21), Paige (16) and Jaxin (15).
I have my Bachelors in Maori Performing Arts, Diploma in Teaching, Maori Business Development and also Matauranga Maori, as well as a Trade cert in Mechanical engineering and Investigations.


What have you done previously:
I have previously been the Marketing Coordinator/Events Lead for the Recruitment and Relationships team at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa – an indigenous tertiary provider coordinating recruitment events in Auckland through to Kaitaia. I was a kaimahi there for 11 years, prior to Marketing, I was a Student registry officer for 8 years with the wānanga.

What do you enjoy most about working for InZone:

Kaupapa of InZone. Transformation through Education – As a part of tertiary education for over ten years in a Maori organisation, I am grateful to be able to support our young rangatahi through their journey in educational excellence.
