He rā whakamiharo! Rangatahi, staff and Board members came together at Mātaatua Marae in Māngere. It was an opportunity for everyone to wānanga tikanga, InZone’s whakapapa and values, and for the rangatahi to have their voices heard.

A real highlight of the day was seeing everyone stand up and deliver their pepehā, many of whom overcame their fear of public speaking to do so. This was part of our morning whakawhanaungatanga session and it even helped a few people to identify shared iwi. The rest of the day was spent discussing Mātauranga Maori, our values and whakatauki with plenty of kai in between!

The kaupapa provided a safe space for rangatahi and staff to develop and strengthen their Te Ao Māori knowledge.
